HUMAN AND SKIN TIME RELATED

Our body is regulated by a global circadian rhythm, also called a 24-hour circadian/biological clock. Depending on day and night cycles, this allows the body to know what it has to do at certain times.  And most of the time, we have learnt to understand and respect the same in order to be healthy.

Similarly, does everyone aware that our skin, specifically each cell, has a similar internal biological clock and it is under the influence of the central clock of our body.  This biological clock of our skin is a built-in system that determines the time for awakening, protecting and repairing.

However, our skin clock is always disrupted due to the life style choices that engaged in different activities during different parts of the day and cause the skin to be also more sensitive to damage at certain times. In consequence, we need to consider our skin care routines on a time basis.  Applying the right treatment at the right time will ensure that you have a healthy skin with you forever.

Now let’s take a look what is happening to your skin throughout the day.

MORNING TIME

Overnight, your skin cells are regenerated, meaning there’s reason to cleanse and refresh the skin in the morning. Cleansing is the first thing we should do to wake up sleepy skin, stimulate and increase vital energy to the skin cells, to remove oil, dead skin cells, impurities from pores, and to give you a balanced base ready for your next skincare steps.

DAY TIME

During the day, your skin becomes highly stressed as it is exposed to dirt, oil production, makeup, UV rays, pollutants, and bacteria from touching it, from holding your cell phone to your face, etc.  The skin’s body clock is quite literally set to protect itself. You need to moisturize properly with products that will support the protection of your skin from these harmful external factors.

NIGHT TIME

At night, it is the hours of skin rest.  While you sleep, the skin goes into the repair mode, growing new skin cells, deleting damaged ones, and bringing fresh blood to the surface for cycling oxygen and nutrients. Therefore, having a good nightly skin routine is a big factor in how well your skin repairs, thus, also affecting how well your skin can defy aging.
